1. Who we are
Shine Pics provides wedding photography, videography and related wedding services. This policy covers personal details submitted through the Shine Pics website at shinepics.co.uk.
2. What we collect
Wedding enquiries
When you use an enquiry form, we collect the information you enter. Depending on the form, that can include your name, email address, wedding date, venue, photography coverage choice, entertainment choice and any message or extra details you add.
Notebook signup requests
When you use a notebook subscribe form, we collect the email address you submit so we can handle that request.
Messages and bookings
If you contact us by email or continue into a booking, we will also hold the correspondence and booking details needed to respond, plan and deliver the agreed service.
3. How we use it
- To reply to wedding enquiries and check availability.
- To discuss, quote for, confirm and manage a booking.
- To prepare for the wedding details you ask us to cover.
- To handle notebook signup requests and related unsubscribe requests.
- To keep necessary business records and deal with questions, disputes or legal obligations.
We do not use website enquiry details for unrelated profiling or sell them to third parties.
4. Sharing, processing and retention
Website form submissions are processed through the site hosting and email delivery services used to send them to our inbox. We share personal details only where needed to run the website, communicate with you, deliver a booked service, use a supplier involved in that service or meet a legal obligation.
We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including answering you, managing the service, keeping appropriate business records and handling any follow-up issue. Where a fixed retention period is not stated, those needs are the criteria we use.
Finished galleries and films are delivered through a private link from the third-party service we use to host them — normally Google, Microsoft or Vimeo. That provider acts as the data processor for the hosted files under its own privacy terms. A private link is only viewable by someone who has the link, and we do not publish your photographs or video, or share them beyond delivering them to you, without your explicit permission.
The photographs and video produced for a booking are delivered through online galleries and downloadable files. We do not retain these files indefinitely once they have been delivered, and galleries may be taken down after a period, so keeping your own backup of the finished files is your responsibility — this is explained further in our terms and conditions.
5. Cookies and third-party content
The static Shine Pics site does not currently set WordPress login, comment or Gravatar cookies, and we do not currently use website analytics or advertising cookies in this rebuild.
If a page links to or embeds a third-party service, that service may handle your interaction under its own privacy terms once you use it. External sites are outside this policy.
6. Your data rights
You can ask us about the personal data we hold about you, request a copy, ask for inaccurate details to be corrected, ask for deletion where appropriate, object to or restrict certain uses, or ask us to stop notebook emails.
Some records may need to be kept where there is a legal, accounting or dispute-resolution reason to do so.
