Photography only — from one hour to all day.
Packages to suit all budgets, from a tight one-hour ceremony shoot through to all-day storytelling.
The shorter packages suit smaller weddings, registry-office ceremonies (e.g. Belfast City Hall) or couples who just want the key moments captured. The all-day package runs bridal preps through to about 15–20 minutes after the first dance — the full story of the day unfolding naturally.
Every package includes individual editing of every supplied image, a private online gallery, free digital delivery and the same kit, edit standard and approach across the board.

Capture the ceremony and speeches in full, plus an edited overview of your day.
Our video add-on works out at around £350 over photo-only — compared to a standalone videographer at £700–£2,000. Because we're already there, already invested in the marketing to find you, already travelling — it makes sense to price the second service like an add-on, not a duplicate.
All video packages run two cameras (one static covering ceremony and speeches in full), with a typical all-day edit running 15–20 minutes. The unedited ceremony and speeches are supplied alongside, free of charge.

Live wedding music with Miabella.
Ceremony accompaniment and pre-dinner entertainment — available solo or as a duo.
Our daughter Miabella is a Grade 8 classical pianist and rock guitarist who plays the ceremony, drinks reception and cocktail hour at Shine Pics weddings. Solo for intimate ceremonies, duo (piano + guitar) for fuller cocktail-hour sets. Set lists are tailored to you — bring us the songs that matter.
The music slot covers ceremony and cocktail hour. Evening sets (full band, real-gig format) are handled separately by Miabella ↗ — ask us if that's part of what you're considering.

These are the most-requested extras across nearly two decades of NI weddings. Add any of them to any photography or photo + video package — or book one or two on their own if all you need is bridal-preps coverage or an engagement session.
Albums are 80–100 page hardcover books, designed and proofed before printing. Canvases are 16×12, wall-ready. Anything bespoke we'll quote on top.

Why we cost less
…and why that isn't a warning sign.
Most wedding studios our size carry costs we simply don't. A website like this one, built by an agency, runs four to five thousand pounds — Jody builds and runs ours in-house. The ongoing advertising a studio needs to stay booked can run two thousand pounds a month — we don't buy it, because the work brings the work. There's no studio rent, no salaried staff, no agency on a retainer.
We don't pocket those savings. We pass them on. That's the whole reason a husband-and-wife team with seventeen years and over seven hundred weddings behind it can price the way we do — not because the work is worth less, but because it costs us less to do.
There's a second reason worth knowing. Our price list is the one we left when we paused weddings at the end of 2019. We stepped back for a few years — the way the world went, it was the right call — and came back this season with the same numbers we'd been quoting before. UK prices have risen close to a third in that time. Which means three of our four photography packages are, in real money, cheaper than the day we first set them.
So when you see £795 for an all-day shoot where another studio quotes £1,800, it isn't a different camera, a different edit, or a quieter pair of hands. It's the same kit, the same standard, the same two people who've photographed weddings since 2008 — minus the overheads you'd otherwise be paying for, and minus seven years of inflation we've quietly absorbed.
Affordable was never the same as cheap.

The questions we get most often.
Are these prices the final price?
Yes — every published price is what you pay. Travel charges may apply outside a 20-mile radius of Portaferry; everything else is laid out on the page.
No platform fees, no editing fees, no gallery fees, no surprise upsells the week before the wedding. If you add a bespoke item later, we'll quote it before you commit.
Do you offer interest-free payment plans?
Yes. Every package can be paid via interest-free direct debit with no upfront deposit. Photography plans run from booking to the month of the wedding; plans with a video add-on run to the month after.
GoCardless fees still exist; we cover them rather than add them to your plan.
Pay the full balance at booking if you'd rather; we don't mind either way.
What about travel charges?
All published prices include travel within a 20-mile radius of Portaferry. Outside that, travel is quoted on top of the package and we always tell you the number before you commit. Belfast, Bangor and Ards-area weddings are usually included.
Bridal preps assume travel within a 5-mile radius of the church or venue.
Can we build a custom package?
Yes. The packages cover the most-requested shapes, but they're not the whole menu. Bridal preps + 2 hours, 3 hours of photo with ceremony video, all-day with an evening pause for dinner — all of that has been done.

Is there a deposit to check availability?
No. Checking your date is free — no deposit, no commitment, just a quick reply within one working day.
Direct-debit bookings do not need an upfront deposit: the plan starts the monthly schedule and runs through the month of the wedding, or through the month after if video is added.
If you choose another payment route, any booking deposit is confirmed in writing before you commit.
What time cut-off is built into the all-day packages?
All-day photography runs from bridal preps through to around 15–20 minutes after the first dance. The cut-off assumes a first dance no later than 21:30; if your first dance is later, we charge £50 per hour or part thereof to stay.
It's rarely needed, but we'll flag it during planning so there are no surprises on the day.
Why are your prices lower than some other NI photographers?
Because we've stripped out the costs other studios pass on to you — and because we have not raised our prices since 2019. We took a break from weddings at the end of that year and came back this season; the kit moved on, the edit moved on, the numbers didn't. With UK prices up close to a third in that time, three of our four photography packages are cheaper in real money than the day we set them.
We also don't pay a £5k agency for our website, we don't buy the ~£2k-a-month advertising most studios need to stay booked, and there's no studio rent or salaried staff. We're a full-time husband-and-wife team, busy year-round, and we pass those savings straight to you instead of inflating the price per wedding.
